Bit of a Mary Sue character, but a solid story with sweet characters。 I always love MCs that communicate clearly and respectfully。 The culture was very intriguing。 It was hard not visualizing the Geico lizard the whole time, though。

Great ReadThis was a great read。 I enjoyed that the book had both expected and unexpected plots。 Finished in a couple hours as could not put it down。

Lets start with the cover: it’s awful 😂Seriously one of the least sexy covers I’ve ever seen 🥴🥳But! This story surprised me in a good way。Unlike most of the other sci-fi romance, this couple can communicate and the female isn’t scarred to death by her new mate’s strange looks。 “I married a Lizerman” is about Susan, a 25 year old virgin woman who takes her last chance of finding a husband by contacting a matchmaker - the Prime Mating Agency (the final stop of the desperate and undesirables)。 ”Wit Lets start with the cover: it’s awful 😂Seriously one of the least sexy covers I’ve ever seen 🥴🥳But! I was so addicted with this book and could not get enough。 I was so enjoy this story and so dissapointed when the book reached the end。 I love the heroine for being so smart and changing the whole planet from poor to prosperity。 I love that the hero and heroine was so patient, respect and accepting each others for being so different in many aspect especially culture and race。 I am going to put this author in my list of favourite authors。

4。5 stars ⭐️ I picked this book because that cover and title! Hah! 😂Lucky me, the storyline is much better than I expected ❤️。The blurb is telling what this story all about quite nicely。I love this H/h 😍, it was good to see how they can communicate their differences and try to understand from their partner POV too。The heroine is a farmer and she was a very good one too。And for a girl who couldn’t even keep an IKEA’s bamboo tree alive, like me? What she does is a miracle to me! 😳😂🤣Oh, that’s the 4。5 stars ⭐️ I picked this book because that cover and title! DNF 50%I like monster-romance books, but this was just awkward and left me cold。I liked the female lead。 She was just amazing and brave and kind。 And her sister in law was cool。But everyone/-thing else wasnt to my liking。 Her husband was often thinking mean things about her because she was human, but he loooooved having intercourse with her。 What a „great“ connection…I disliked him and after 50% i knew this this book wasnt for me。 I missed any kind of romance or connection。 There are many other DNF 50%I like monster-romance books, but this was just awkward and left me cold。I liked the female lead。 She was just amazing and brave and kind。 And her sister in law was cool。But everyone/-thing else wasnt to my liking。 Her husband was often thinking mean things about her because she was human, but he loooooved having intercourse with her。 What a „great“ connection…I disliked him and after 50% i knew this this book wasnt for me。 I missed any kind of romance or connection。 There are many other monster-romance books that delivered。 This wasnt on of them。 。。。more

Weird but CuteThis book is something else entirely。 I liked the concept of third daughters being sent away and how it was incorporated into the plot。 I thought it was weird that not once did her any of her family reach out but it worked。 Overall it was a cute story。

I've read quite a bit of Abel's books and am always floored at how she pays attention to detail。Here we have a lot of story background that doesn't consume the romance, but sets the plot to where we need to go。There's no needless drama or miscommunications and we get a sweet romance about belonging, acceptance and overcoming hardships。I really enjoyed this story, give it a try! So I started this book and I remembered my reluctance with the authors last series, which I had forgotten。 This writer has an interesting style, her timing flows well and her worlds are relatively well explored (this one more so than the other series, there was growth there for sure)。However it's not my jam。 I find it comes across like reading Avatar。 There is a good story there but the allegory is thick and sometimes seems like an after school special, lessons about the topic of the day。 For th So I started this book and I remembered my reluctance with the authors last series, which I had forgotten。 This writer has an interesting style, her timing flows well and her worlds are relatively well explored (this one more so than the other series, there was growth there for sure)。However it's not my jam。 I find it comes across like reading Avatar。 There is a good story there but the allegory is thick and sometimes seems like an after school special, lessons about the topic of the day。 For this movie it's corporations taking advantage of cultures/worlds in ways that leaves them destitute。 Strong Indiginous people's vibes。 And I get the purpose but it's not really why I read romance。 The sex! So the sex scenes are so so so so much communication that it comes across like a school counselor describing how couples should approach sex。。I also found some kind of slid in kink-shaming which got on my nerves。 For an erotic romance about a lizard shaped alien and human women, there is surprisingly little real kink here。 Just a lot of OTT health communication。 And I realize what it says about me that I don't enjoy that but man, it was a LOT。 The heroine comes from a matriarchal society, she is excited about the gender equality shown by her mate's people, every interaction with everyone is respectful and considerate of feelings and last circumstances。。。。 So it's not you, it's me。 May very well appeal to all who enjoy more social commentary and heavy communication and pretty average but exploratory sex with a Lizard men。。 。。。more

I was VERY MUCH in the mood for a little culture clash and sexy times with two individuals who are physically different (but still gloriously compatible), but who give their budding relationship their all。 In other words, Susan and Olix hit the literary spot for me。With a bleak future in store on her home planet (let's just say that third daughters aren't much of a catch regardless of their skills), Susan accepts a mating arrangement on a distant planet with a man who is。。。not quite human。 As it I was VERY MUCH in the mood for a little culture clash and sexy times with two individuals who are physically different (but still gloriously compatible), but who give their budding relationship their all。 In other words, Susan and Olix hit the literary spot for me。With a bleak future in store on her home planet (let's just say that third daughters aren't much of a catch regardless of their skills), Susan accepts a mating arrangement on a distant planet with a man who is。。。not quite human。 As it turns out, his non-humanness might take a little getting used to, but it isn't a deterrent at all when it comes down to it。On his end, Olix is not thrilled to be taking a human for a mate。 Mostly because she looks a wee bit frail and he can't see how she's going to help his people as the Seer foresaw。 The good news? Although he might be uncertain, he doesn't let that uncertainty stand as a roadblock。 In fact, after the initial awkwardness, he does his best to support his new hunny-bunny (even when he can see how she's trying to obliquely slide her newfangled farming ideas into the village to make farming more palatable) and is a genuinely fantastic mate。As it turns out, Susan's not just a master farmer。 She also has a good head for business and a quick mind that helps his people FAR more than either of them ever expected she'd be able to。A few social stumbles, more than a few steamy encounters (did I mention the GLORIOUSLY COMPATIBLE part?), and a determined woman who isn't about to let the people in her new home down。 AT ALL。 In any way。 The lady has fire and smarts and I LIKE IT!-Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal 。。。more

The title caught me, and I expected this story to be a rollicking joke。 But, instead, it was a thoughtful, deep story of two people from completely different backgrounds who wanted someone to love, build a life and home and to grow old with。 And it worked for me。 Don't start this book just before bed because it is a jewel that you won't want to put down!
